Tabelo Tsolo (@kamuhle_media CEO) was a co-trainer alongside veteran

Journalist Cris Chinaka from Zimbabwe in a one-day journalism training course

conducted at the @radissonblusandton in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The course which took place on 11 October 2023 focuses on media ethics, best

practices for working with newswire content, and approaches to content

sharing.

The training course was organised by the Thomson Reuters Foundation in

partnership with Sanef.

The workshop aimed to enhance journalists' ability to make ethical decisions

and produce accurate, balanced, and objective media material.

Key objectives included identifying sourcing problems, avoiding media capture

issues, understanding the Code of Conduct, developing editorial planning and

sourcing skills, improving content-sharing skills, and comprehending the

benefits and pitfalls of using newswires.
